I have always had a great love for the imaginative and unique, and no matter the field, originality always catches my attention. This is also reflected in the diversity of my art selection, where each work caught my attention for a variety of reasons.
​
In the case of Claudio Viscardi, his impressive paintings skilfully draw the viewer into his enticing surreal world and encourage them to look again and again.
You don't have to be an expert or art critic to appreciate the intriguing juxtaposition of nature and architecture in Claudio's world, both beautiful, both dramatic, and fused with a technical skill that makes them so desirable.
​
As an Irishman, it is satisfying to know that the natural landscape of the Beara Peninsula, where Claudio makes his home, provides the inspiration for his stunning paintings, which are a visual spectacle to behold and admire.
We are privileged to have an artist like Claudio who is respected and admired both in Ireland and internationally. I have some of his paintings in London and Barbados and they are regularly admired.
